If it's an important site, try to be somewhat consistent with backlink building. 10k links one week and nothing next week looks unnatural. like another poster mentioned, go for quality > quantity if possible.

I think it depends on what you're selling/buying. I check how much things are going for/sold for and sell on the one with higher average pricing. When all things are same, I tend to prefer eBay over Amazon for fast payment.

If you're looking to find, buy, and set it up on your own, try expireddomains - you can set parameters, so that you can filter out any domains that doesn't meet your needs(DA in your case). Or you can probably buy some from reputable sellers here.
