Because Amazon can be assholes once you start pulling in over $1000 - $2000 a week... Use the BHW search function and read some of the horror stories. And yes, a landing page or article is the best way to get a sale but this thread isn't about that.

No, Reddit wont ban you for posting a Amazon link, but Amazon will ban you for posting a raw affiliate link. Always use the link to your domain that you added to Amazon when you signed up. You can post the link to your site on Twitter then use your Tweet link in Reddit. That's fine.

Just make sure you comment on posts that were created with 1 - 3 hours and getting comments on them already. This is your best bet to get traffic.
