You should just leave it. You always face a risk when you change something. If you are blogging on a regular basis there is no reason to go to html/css based sites. You'll lose a lot of efficiency by ditching WP.

I commented on one of your other posts with an idea. However, now that I see you are using wordpress, the simple solution is to use shortcodes for highlighting. Download a shortcode plugin and you will be able to do it easily.

I've noticed this too. I think it may have something to do with Penguin 4.0 doing an evaluation of the links before they give them their due credit. Not sure though. I would like to know if anyone else has info on this.
