Try making a few Idea pins and see how the reach goes. The few that I made from a few months ago are still getting impressions / engagements. Downside is that there are no direct link to the pages you want pinners to visit. To me, these pins are useless but Pinterest, for some reason, likes them.

I find using Pinterest's scheduling and image tools to be helpful. But only for 1 account. My other accounts get "meh" traction.

Make sure you're using different images for pinning. Then give it a try. I have some content for recipes straight from a source, but images are different, so no issues so far.

You can search for boards using keywords. I assume the top boards are the ones Pinterest algo is pushing at the time. So maybe start there. What I've done was look at the profile of an active / popular pinner in my niche and see which boards they're pinning to. It should still work.

From my experience, according to pinterest analytics, the majority of impressions & click-thru traffic comes from other pins, not mine. So in my websites, I try to get as much repins/saves by begging. A contest/giveaway is prolly better, but I don't have the resources.

IMO, mother/child doesn't work as well as it used to, but then again, a lot of methods do not work as well as they used to. If anything, you can invite the mother account into some child groupboards, giving the mother account more places to pin.

I'd say, 80% or more of my traffic are from a handful of pins that have gone viral a few years ago. I still continue to pin. And these pins get traffic but hardly go viral.

Pinterest has been making a lot of changes in their site as of late. I'm seeing other pinners get credit for some images from my site tho' I'm not shadow banned or blocked. These pinners seem legit with a lot of followers, so I'm not thinking shady. Hopefully activities normalize and traffic...
