I would have to agree with deviatus. It is likely not the EMD that is hurting you, it is probably something like suspicious backlinks or keyword stuffing. I could be wrong though, who knows.

Diet/fitness are usually tough to rank. It completely depends on your exact term, but I wouldn't expect #1 results to be cheap.
