Not true. Twitter and G+ are still great. I don't care much about FB. But I do notice that Google prefers links shared through fan pages rather than profiles. This is another reason. The number of shares can impact the way new visitors see the content because most people have sheeple mentality.

Whether too many sites are on the same GWMT doesn't make much difference unless one of them gives the "reason" to be suspecious of the rest. However, if I remember correctly, the whistle blower from Google said that they do use data from google analytic to penalize sites.
