This topic is not cut and dried, but I wouldn't worry too much about your own PR, as it's missing the mark. Create good content and have good content link to you. Enuf said!

Lots of great info on this thread. I would recommend doing all of these, and testing to see what works for you. Every niche will respond differently to your efforts, mostly inbound links. Be patient!

I think Google has filtered out EMDs so it's a little risky, but anything you do has to be quality, or you're seen as spam

Man this is a loaded question . . . Same SEO methods work, but you just can't blast links anymore. You have to trickle in good content 'naturally'

Agree with the first response. Figure out how much you have into it (including random time to maintain it and brain space) add your markup, and then you are golden. BTW - I might be interested if the price is fair and the websites are clean. Good luck
