Surveys are often hard for user to fill out, or even doesn't want too just because it's a survey. Try - like hushpapa mentioned - with something else like email submit or zip submit. I've experienced that they have much higher conversion rate since surveys are getting kinda "old". Or not many...

Buying traffic to boost youtube views does help. It ranks you higher in the search when a user searched for you niche.

I would suggest having 3 different sites, so that the URL of the site matches better with the content. It's better to overcome for potential visitors. But that's just my opinion.
