Anybody else getting Followliker and Tweetdemon quarantined by Microsoft? (trojan warning)

LOL. I have a Mac I love. Unfortunately most of the tools of this trade require Windows. Some of us do use a Mac with virtualization for Windows on top. But then all the same problems exist in that layer.

Anybody else getting Followliker and Tweetdemon quarantined by Microsoft? (trojan warning)

I use Followliker and TweetDemon, and recent updates are getting refused by my installation of Microsoft Security Essentials (it's an anti-virus/basic security package from Microsoft). It's saying they contain "severe" risk trojans. At first I just thought maybe there were some false positives...

    Is Tweetdemon down?

Hmm. I can't auth to either server 1 or server 2 (though server 2 seems to think a little longer on it). To be safe, I recommend not quitting your active session.

    Is Tweetdemon down?

You just did. It may be tempting to rush and post a bunch of random stuff, but that can backfire. Posts have to be natural, on-topic for the thread, and useful to the community. Take your time, lurk, learn the local customs, and have fun. If you have an emergency need to contact somebody, reply...

    Is Tweetdemon down?

Not working for me, either. Though authenticating with server 2 gets further than server 1. Slightly unrelated: when did the TD forum go away, just recently along with the TD downtime?

    Twitter issue

If you block a follower, it forces them to unfollow you. If you're mostly worried about the cosmetic issue, just blocking the most recent 30 or so will leave your (more recent) followers "on top" of your follower pile, and visually will look more natural. As others have said, most people don't...

Instagram Account Banned - Help Required

Update: Instagram has confirmed there was a glitch yesterday afternoon/evening. This was not a Terms of Service/Spam dragnet. Regular, non-commercial accounts were caught by this. If BH people did too, it's just coincidence. http://help.instagram.com/165012027001436

Instagram Account Banned - Help Required

    Instagram api changes

While the API limits put a squeeze on one method, the increasing utility of a Instagram's web version makes web-scraping an increasingly viable option for monitoring/stats/automation.

    Twitter Bot (Python)

That would be cool. I've stopped and started so many bad Twitter scripts (I'm no developer). I always stall out crawling github, choosing the best Twitter library. Do you have a github? Or... maybe all of us on here should have separate/anonymous bhw githubs. ;)

Wanted to share my opinion on Twitter Ads

It depends on how many accounts you want it to manage: $55 (for just one) $74 (5 profiles) $110 (10 profiles) $188 (unlimited) If you're managing a large number of accounts, add-in cost of either buying proxies, or finding/scraping free ones from somewhere. (Though your use-case sounds...

Wanted to share my opinion on Twitter Ads

This is my interpretation of what's going on: Twitter (sometime in November from the data points I've gathered) tuned its definition of "rapid following churn" (basically following a lot of people, and (usually) unfollowing a portion of them. Multiple people have reported getting suspended...

Pinterest announces new wave of account deletions (spam accounts)

You never know. Depends on your method. But yeah. If it's spray + pray CPA/affiliate, then its time has probably passed.

Wanted to share my opinion on Twitter Ads

That's too bad. I was hopeful. In this Twitter case study, the user paid 30 cents/follower, got 1300 real, targeted followers in two months. Guess it was cherry-picked. https://business.twitter.com/en/smallbiz/successstories/rukes/
