Good information here bro. I would like to know these questions:
- How much initially did you have to spend to get the ball rolling? Hosting (15/month) + Domain name (15) + Did you have to pay someone to setup your site?
- Also Magento, how much does that roughly cost you (like to setup a...
Thanks for your insights. I have 2 more questions:
- How do you handle/automate your sale process? Do you check all of your sales at the beginning/end of the day, and email/pay your supplier to ship the goods out? Or what system do you use to make the process more automated?
- Since most of...
Couple of questions if you dont mind going into detail: :)
- How do you initially get traffic to your site? SEO, word of mouth, PPC, Paid advertising?
- What kind of hosting/server do you use, and do you use Amazons3 for hosting videos/images for the product?
- You say you did about half a...
Let's say I have a $10 product and put both paypal and 2co. Let's say 10 people buy from each payment method. Not only am I going to make less in 2co, but I can't even wire it to my back account, and whats worse is the fee for the chargeback, whereas on paypal the fee is less, and I could...
I think I'm going to go with PayPal. It seems 2co has a $300 min threshold if you want to wire your money. Plus their rates are higher than pp, and they can close your account at any time as well.
I have both, and I'm not too sure which one I should lean on to accept payments for the membership site?
2co has a very high chargeback fee, and I think I have to hit a threshold amount before I can withdraw. On the other hand, paypal is simple, but I dont want to ruin my good account with...
Have 2 important questions if anyone has experience/expert could chime in:
- I am trying to have a podcast website. Basically theres 40 podcast and they are in no particular order (meaning people can download which ones they please, some prefer one style while some may like another).
I want to...
I have 42 podcast that cover around 3 different topics, but not in any particular order. I was thinking whats a good way to go about it?
I read just about every post (esp kyles), so I think I have a alright idea of things.
- DAP
- Payment Processor
- Domain Name
- Autoresponder (and I will...
Thanks Netmoney, yeah, I think I may stick with paypal/2co since most people may be comfortable with that. And yeah, dripping it + adding videos, teasers, sounds like a great ideal.

Thanks for all the feedback guys (net, lao, saber, ted, greengoblin, w130 and anyone I missed). Yeah, I'm one of those ocd kind of guys, have to be overly prepared lol. The content is great. Basically a member will have access to about 50 podcast (I intend to add 2-5 per month). There will also...
*coughs* Sorry, I think I didnt make it clear enough. To be honest, this site is going to offer quality digital podcast to download, but I rather be prepared for any scenario that sorry. I wanted to know what's a good way to handle the chargebacks/refunds, or other issues?
Chargeback = People...
Yeah see, well lets say we have a nice membership site, and we get 500 members. Let's say 15% of that 500 get refunds:
= 75 members which may be alot for paypal.
So my question is there a better solution or rule of thumb to play by? I was thinking of going with 2co first, just to test the...
I had posted this in Kyles thread, but maybe this could help some people out on BHW. How do you solve the issue of members joining, and canceling the service? I know to make sure you have great content, but there will always be people that want to cancel, and it looks bad on PayPal even with...
