Is it worth promoting offline local business over twitter? By local offline meaning on businesses like local stores and services, mosty without web sites. Can they generate profit for their local stores/shops/services... by using twitter with following/unfollowing people from local area...

I think tweetbuddy is better. Because, no hassle around proxyes etc. And it is web based and you don't need to worry is it running on your computer or not while you are away. I am using it now for about 10 days and I am satisfied with it. Doing OK for me.
