i love microsoft SEO toolkit. it runs IIS on your PC and reports on a site using bing tech its AMAZING and blows screaming frog out of the water plus its totally free.
use knowem.com to find web2.0 and blogs etc that have your username as a folder and spend a day or so populating each profile (yes on each) and more importantly interacting on the site... friend people, comment on posts and get lots of internal links from their top content... use...
raven is ok... has excellent reporting but if you want hard core comms management try buzzstream.com. ontolo has some nifty tools
theyre all expensive and have pros and conns... you could also try a freebie generic project management system like project pier... theyre more generic but at least...
what i'd do now dude is only build content for keywords that you're not ranking for. dont go blast a load of blog entries with keywords that compete against your money content

youve seen pdf's ms word docs and xl spreadsheets in the serps right? they make for good reading
just make sure your meta info in the files is chock a block with keywords and referrs back to your site
also add in links to your docs... google reads those now
do a check on your competitors linking strategies and create a ration for home/deep links also while you're at it check their exact match/broad/brand and generic keyword mix for target pages
