I don't care about silly things OP wrote, I don't drink tap water because I dislike it, don't trust it either. I always drink bottled water, can't go with any brand because some are "too clean" (or whatever) for my taste.

If the most important content for the visitor loads fast, I think it's perfectly fine. I get what you're saying, I'm all for quality even if the page is 'heavier' or whatever
