How long have you tested linking to the individual location pages before changing them back? They are just normal pages right? eg: business.com/location and not a subdomain like location.business.com?

where are the other GMB links going to? Sounds like you need to build out awesome location pages on your website ranking 4 different domains is going to suck donkey balls compared to getting one site to rank

It is stated pretty clearly in the guidelines what is allowed in the business title for a GMB. A competitor is looking at your GMB and will report if you have an incorrect business title. I have gotten many listings bumped out of 3-pack and waay down, it goes quick.

It is not allowed according to Google guidelines. If I were you I would start reporting all those locations for GMB spam, it will be a constant ongoing battle because they will just change it back. You can also have your keyword in the title, you are always risking getting penalized though...

Yes, there are still forums with deep and old roots that are doing extremely well. Never said anything about that. Fact remains though that a whole shitload of forums that did amazing 10 years ago have been completely wiped out.
