Actually that does not solve the problem. May be you got lucky in your case. However, the problem is that FollowLiker needs to develop a functionality of accepting a new request added by Instagram. Once they develop it, it should be fine and I guess they are working on it.

If you check "Retrieve existing followers and following" it will include your own followings (made outside of FollowLiker) to be unfollowed as well. If you uncheck it, it will maintain the followers that you had previous to FL activity + the followers that you follow outside FL :)
