you can use the official api for automation such as posting, commenting, upvoting, or even moderation, sending DMs....etc. you can pretty much use it for anything. the issue is that the rate limit of posting, commenting ...etc is stricter than scraping

you can scrape all comments, but the nested replies are tricky to scrape cause they consume a lot of api requests (if you use official reddit API), depending on how deep they are. you can search on rapidapi marketplace for reddit scrapers
