if posts meta are not set then your meta is autogenerated by google and is usually: first line of post + one sentence where the searched word occured + one more sentence (dont know of what kind) but thats not bad right?

what could be issue? currently GWT shows about 200 kws indexed none of them is one of my main kws with big search volume (i have about 5 of them) some of them are the exact kws i targeted but with lower search volume on less important posts i have some links, perhaps not too strong to rank...

maybe he means that word count is not a ranking factor by itself. of course not. why would they rank you better if you stuffed more words But word count still, In my opinion, increases rankability of article if you write a 3000 word article, then you will naturally insert more LSI words in it...
