I've heard people talk about a 50% conversion rate, in other words follow 100 users and 50 users follow back. I'm not getting anything near that. I've been tracking for a few weeks now and I get about 16-17% conversion rate. My account is a personal photography account.

I've read on a few threads now that you shouldn't follow more than 5000 users in a month (even after unfollow). Is this true? I'm doing manual follow/unfollow on one personal account.
