So I've played with aws and digital ocean before, but those require paying by credit card, and I feel like they're too easily traced. Any vps recommendations? In terms of anonymity, bandwidth, price...etc?

I know there are a lot of ways to do this, setting up your own proxy server, using vpn, or tor. I'm curious to which one most ppl prefer to use? i used to like using tor, it's quick and easy, but the speed is a pain, sometimes it takes like 30 secs to load a page. any thoughts? thx!
