A website ranked on top with adwords is legal, but why that same website is showing on first page on SEO basis too? This then shows a No Fair playing ground

Is there any SEO fellow here, who is proud to boast about his/her achievements on constantly ranking of all their websites showing on the first page of search engine for quite some time now? pls share original strategy/story

Cloaking sometimes can work good, but not every site can come up due to cloaking. The algorithms are changed without letting anybody know about it. And search engines do that to get them to know about the site effects. Also people do fall for bad cloaking temptation if their site is not ranking...
