Tons of resources here on BH for that. Mostly it would be helpful if you took a few courses from Copywriting Titans. Definitely beneficial and you'll be able to learn more than just writing simple descriptions. To name a few, David Deutch, Clayton Makepeace, John Carlton.
It depends. Personally, for me, I like to "drunk write" so that all the creative and imaginative thoughts can be captured on paper. And I'll edit the first draft when I'm sober lol.
