Glad to hear you're not discouraged! To be honest I was, but got over it shortly.
I got rejected at the end of August. I anxiously tried again 2 weeks later. Rejected again.
(I'm pretty sure I applied again sometime between then and now but I forget)
And then waited Until last week to try...
I got rejected with adsense as well for scraped content, but I waited about a month or so and now I am approved!
Just luck of the draw I suppose! No biggie! Don't be discouraged and as OP always mentions, PROMOTE your site!
Ads aren't worth anything if nobody sees them.

Nice! Thanks for the tactic. I will give that a shot! If you don't mind me asking what's the population of your area? you can round it to the nearest 100k or million to keep it vague.
I personally don't think you should clutter with too many ads. The extra revenue might seem tempting but the real revenue is in the subscription plans for posting jobs.
You just need to find a website that has affiliate opportunities. I found https://resume.io/affiliates but they require a certain amount of traffic.

I'm new at this but I was thinking, what about "how to dress for a ______ interview (on a budget)" articles and have affiliate links to clothing?
For my social media icons, I downloaded a WP plugin and put it in the Sidebar Widgets.
You can do something similar with a Blog link too, but instead you can use text or a custom image that links to your blog.
