Every time rankings dip, there's this internal debate: is this a core update, a technical issue, seasonality, or something someone touched on the site without telling me? Some people say give it 2 weeks before panicking; others start diagnosing day one.

Used to hear this pitched as an easy win — find broken links on relevant sites, offer your content as the replacement. Haven't seen many people mention it lately, though.
Is it still worth the effort, or has the response rate dropped too low to justify the time versus just doing normal guest...
