Virtualine.net / Virtualine which offered / advertised bulletproof hosting on black hat world gets seized by FBI finally.
Virtualine was also hosting CP images.

  • The FBI seized virtualine[.]net in an international cybercrime investigation
  • Dutch police confiscated dozens of physical servers, taking hundreds of virtual servers offline
  • Investigators obtained records concerning more than 3,000 Virtualine customers
  • The hosting provider allegedly supported ransomware, phishing, financial fraud, and other criminal operations
Many users had complained about them eariler.
Sorry for BHW members hosting with them.

Here is the full story: bitdefender.com/en-gb/blog/hotforsecurity/virtualine-domain-seized-fbi-bulletproof-hosting

These lot of me a refund they scammed for over $300 support dissapeared after I asked for a refund and deleted accounts

i was actually looking through their forum threads just the other day and thinking they might be useful for my igaming site. i assumed they were a much smaller provider but apparently they’ve made quite a bit of noise

This is a good reminder to be careful when choosing bulletproof hosting providers. Always check the hosting company's reputation before using their services. Keep regular backups and have another reliable hosting option ready to avoid unexpected downtime or data loss.

It is important to note that when selecting hosting service providers one should ensure that he or she selects a credible provider the low costs and other attractive offers should not blind you into believing that it is a good service provider.

I used Virtualine for almost a year and I cancelled just a few weeks ago because my business was low. I never thought it was really bulletproof I thought it was just marketing but damn now FBI has my info. Never had any issues with them to be honest it was a great hosting and I also noticed they were trying to improve their service recently. I feel bad for them and for the people that lose all their data. I always had backups activated.

Virtualine was neither bulletproof nor dmca-ignored. just read their trustpilot reviews. they suspended accounts if dmca abuse was reported.

They were generally well-regarded as an offshore hosting provider. The legal cases against them likely stem from their success. By becoming a major player in the space, they simply drew too much regulatory attention.

Never used them but wow they asked to be SEIZED since the first moment!

They really accepted pishing and ransomware?

Their servers were dogshit, tried them once, literally replacing IP's of the server like 3 times during one month. Outages lasting weeks.

No wonder that happened if they allowed CP/Phishing/Randomware, every business would drop them, ISP's would cut contact.

DMCA Ignored is one thing, because it really doesn't "directly" hurt anyone, but hosting such blackhat and illegal stuff is just asking for trouble.

this is insane. i remember i signed up on initial days but never really used due to horrible downtime

well the most important question is did they keep any acitvity logs includings ip adresses etc of the costumers as i read somewhere that it was bulletproof with no logs

I don't really care about IPs because I used Gmail to register. I wasn't even trying to hide. I'm just wondering if the files of my website were deleted after I stopped paying

Yeah I just tested the waters with them a couple years ago when I was simply looking for windows servers. But after I complained about the constant downtimes their response was somewhere along the lines of "We apologize for the inconveniece but we are still one of the fastest non-dcma bulletproof providers there are when it comes to getting services back online."

When I told them I simply wanted the servers for legitimate uses and asked if they had a non-bulletproof network somewhere for simple standard servers, they explained they did not and I stopped using them.

Now today I got this email, which I'm not worried about, but nevertheless, never fun to receive. And in case anyone is curious, I've been through my fair share of legal loops that were caused by the wrongdoings of others. If you'd like just a personal piece of advice, NEVER reach out to law enforcement on your own to simply "tell your side of the story" and explain your innocence.

Deny deny deny till you die, even if you've done nothing wrong. An innocent mind is a trouble-free mind. These emails are ALWAYS an attempt by law enforcement to use fear to obtain information that they would otherwise have to go through many legal proceedings to obtain. If you got this email and you click on it to explain yourself and your involvement with virtualine, you're only doing the popo's work for them and opening yourself up to further and future questioning and investigation.

Guys I'm cooked. Do you think data in their servers gets deleted after you stop paying?
Deleted doesn't always mean unrecoverable, and their server backups still likely have your data.

Even if your account was 100% clean, I'd lawyer up anyway if they keep pushing for info.

Unless you're subpoenaed, a fed shows up at your door (terrifying, but still, they're usually just fishing), or you get a phone call requesting an "interview" with law enforcement, you don't need to spend unnecessary money on an attorney.

Until you've been through the wringer with law enforcement, which, you better believe, happens to thousands of 100% innocent people EVERY DAY, people are often unaware of the fact that they have rights--which obviously change depending on what country you're in. But your rights are something that millions of people have died fighting for, so don't be afraid to exercise them and notify law enforcement you intend to do so as you've seen and heard of far too many people who were wrongfully convicted because they allowed their rights to be trampled on.

They'll usually counter with something like, "Well, an innocent person isn't afraid to hand over what we want." My response is always something along the lines of, "When it's illegal for you to lie to me, and not the other way around, I'll believe what you say. Until then, I would simply like to follow the advice of my counsel and ensure my inalienable rights aren't being trampled on."

A lawyer bro? Nah I'm confident that nothing will happen, reading all the shit that they allowed to host I'm a small insignificant cell compared to the rest of them. This is all my fault for trusting them Idk why I give them a fucking gmail. Hopefully the files were deleted after I didn't pay them
