SEO results can take time, so it is difficult to know when to stay patient and when to make changes. If a page is not improving after several months, what do you check first? I would like to understand how you evaluate progress before changing the entire strategy.

I usually check impressions, rankings, CTR and indexing first to identity where the problem lies. If there's no meaningful progress after 3-4 months, I reassess the keywords, content quality, competition and backlinks before changing the strategy.

I'd start by checking Google Search Console to see if impressions are going up or if the page is still getting nowhere. Then I'd look at the content, keywords and backlinks. I wouldn't change everything at once. It's better to fix what's actually not working first.

It depends on the niche and competition. If rankings and impressions are improving, I'd give it more time. If there's no progress after a few months, it's worth reviewing the strategy.

Usually a month is enough for on-page SEO. It takes 3-6 months for off-page SEO to deliver results.

I would first check whether the page is getting impressions but failing to attract clicks, or simply not ranking. Then I would revisit search intent, content quality and competitor backlinks before changing the strategy completely.

exactly, GSC will almost always provide an excellent place to start in this scenario. If you have increasing impressions but not clicks, I would start by analyzing your title and meta descriptions.

Yeah, there's no need for any drastic changes at this stage. I would monitor the GSC Impressions, clicks, and keyword trends on a monthly basis to see how the website is progressing.

I usually give it around 3-4 months, but I dont just sit and wait. Check impressions, keyword movement and competitors first. Sometimes the page needs a few fixes, not a whole new strategy.

Give it around 3–6 months, but I wouldn't just wait blindly.

Try Check impressions, ranking movements, indexing, search intent, and competitor changes first, if there's no positive signal at all, I'd adjust the content or targeting before changing the entire SEO strategy.

I usually give it 2 -3 months, depending on the niche and competition. Before changing anything, I check indexing, keyword positions, content quality, and backlinks to identify what's holding the page back.

I normally wait up to two or three month , but I keep on monitoring the google search console for the movement in impression nd keywords. nevertheless, when there is no much action going on, I will have to analyze the search intent nd competition before rewriting the page entirely.

I also check if competitors have added something useful that my page is missing. It can show what needs to be improved.

Before changing the whole strategy, I'd check Search Console. Sometimes pages are getting impressions but not clicks, which is a different issue.

I usually give it 2–3 months before making major changes, but I check progress regularly. First, I look at impressions, keyword positions, search intent, content quality, and technical issues. there wont be any changes if there is not improvement i adjuet week part a alone

I usually work with a set review point instead of a fixed number of months for everything. For on page changes I expect some movement sooner, as Starblazer mentioned, while links and new pages need longer to show anything useful.

What helps me most is writing down the starting point before I change anything. I note the queries bringing impressions, the pages getting clicks, and whether the page is actually indexed for the terms I want. Then I check the same points again after a few weeks. If impressions are spreading to more relevant queries, even without clicks yet, I leave the main approach alone and fix smaller things like the title or the opening section.

If nothing is moving at all after two or three months, no new impressions, no change in position for the main terms, and the page is indexed correctly, that is when I look again at intent and competition, like several people here suggested. Changing one part at a time makes it easier to tell what helped, which is the point littlepuzzle made and one I agree with.

i used to rip everything up after about six weeks if nothing moved, wasted a lot of good work that way. now i watch impressions first — if they're climbing slowly i leave it alone, even if clicks are still flat.

the one time i do change early is when a page sits stuck around positions 11-15 for a couple of months. that's usually the page itself (title/intent) not the whole strategy, so i fix that page and keep the rest running.

Check which queries are bringing impressions and whether they match the page topic before deciding what needs to change
