Haven't been in the SEO market since 3-4 years, and I am how much regular whitehat SEO has been affected by AI searches such as Gemini in Google :).

All enlightment is always welcome!

P.S. Can bats swim? I am wondering.

AI has changed SEO quite a bit, especially for informational searches where users get answers without clicking. White hat SEO still works, but brand authority and AI visibility matter more than before.

Traditional white hat SEO still matters, but AI search has changed how people discover information. I focus on helpful content, strong topical authority, technical SEO, and genuine brand mentions. Also, yes, bats can swim!

I guess you never use tools for mass content generation (api's)? Too dangerous, these days, or are there ways (prompts/tools) to avoid detection :)? Little naughty here, haha.

SEO is not actually DEAD. But there are many discovery layers right now. Google rankings are no longer the only visibility metrics.

AI has definitely impacted information keywords, especially definitions, comparisons, and how-tos type of content. But transactional and commercial intent SEO still have strong value.

What is trending right now is GEO and AEOs, entity consistency, structured data, answering content, credible third-party mentions, and topical authority.

The biggest mistake now SEOs are making is purely focusing on organic searches. AI answers can reduce clicks even even when you rank #1. Lol. You must segment branded, non-branded queries, and also monitor impressions and CTR in GSC, and connect Google Analytics with CRM for better results.

For commercial sites, local SEO, product pages, comparison keywords and high intent long-tail keywords, although still perform well with SEO. I will focus on 500 qualified visitors rather than generating 10,000 informative visitors with zero conversion right now.

AI search engine overviews have definitely reduced click-through rates for basic informational queries but traditional white-hat SEO still drives high conversions for commercial intent, technical audits, and brand authority keywords and yes bats can actually swim using a butterfly-like stroke.

For what does AEO stand :anyway:?

What's up with bot posts like these? XD

Thank you!!

I mean, really? What are these questions man? It's like a wiki site with the same question regurgitated a billion timeS, over and over again.

From my point of view, the impact of AI search has been wonderful on SEO in the last 2 years, at least when we are talking about questions that can be answered through the AI directly. However, the white-hat SEO techniques are not useless. What changes is the fact that Google ranking itself might not bring the same amount of clicks as it used to. It would be better to concentrate on content and experience.

I feel like now AI search seems to be changing how people find information online. Even if a blog ranks well, people might not click if AI gives them the answer directly. I guess focusing on useful content is still a good starting point.

I've seen a MAJOR improvent in SERPS for HTML sites i've been holding onto. I mean, front page , top 4 rankings on a few. I feel like i can relaunch all of my old sites in HTML and probably make a few bucks lol

now i think SEO has become more unpredictablle.the page can perform well in terms of ranking but get less click throughs bcz people have gotten what they want from the ai summary. personally, besides rankings i would consider conversions nd repeat visitors as well. just wondering if old sites have an edge over new sites in this situation.
