Hi ,
I am pretty new to telegram ads, but recently started testing a few champaigns after hearing a lot of people talk about the platform.
Some champaigns are getting decent engagement, but I am still trying to understand what best there. Do smaller niche channels perform better than larger general ones?

Yes, In most cases smaller niche channels perform much better than large general channels. Telegram Ads is heavily audience quality driven, so relevance usually matters more than pure reach.
Large channels can generate impressions and clicks, but niche communites often bring stronger engagement, lower CPM waste, and better conversion rates because the audience already has interested in the topic.
The best approach is usually testing multiple niche channels first, then scaling based on actual engagement and conversion data instead of subscriber count alone.

From what I have seen, smaller niche channels usually convert better because the audience is more targeted and engaged. And for the Bigger general channels it bring volume, but the traffic quality can be inconsistent. I’d keep testing both and pay close attention to retention and actual conversions, not just clicks or views.

I have tested telegrams Ads on a few campaigns, and in my experience , smaller niche channels often perform better than large general interest channels. The audience is usually more targeted , which can lead to higher engagement and better conversions.large channels can bring more reach but the traffic is not always as relevant.I found that matching the channel's closely with the offer is usually more important than the channel size itself.

I’d be curious to see whether people actually remember an ad after scrolling past it Getting a view is one thing, but if nobody remembers what they saw five minutes later, it probably won’t do much. Making an ad stick in someone’s mind seems harder than it looks, lol.

I wonder if the way an offer is presented matters more than people think Two ads can promote the same thing, but one might make people curious while the other gets ignored. Finding that little difference is probably half the battle, lol.

A smaller channel with an active, relevant audience might outperform a much bigger one with mixed interests. Pay attention to actual clicks and conversions rather than engagement alone.

Telegram ads look easy until you actually start spending money on them Sometimes you get clicks, sometimes you get nothing much. Still trying to figure out where the budget goes and what’s actually worth trying.

Telegram Ads is more organic traffic focused which means relevance matters more than actual reach. Considering trust issues, small channels tend to create more conversions than Large channels. Large channels may attract clicks and create impressions but that's just it.

Small niche channels win, but finding them is hard part. Look for channels with 3-10k subscribers and active comment section, not 100k ones that are full of dead subscribers. Works in my niche, at least.

I'd test niche and general channels with the same offer and similar budgets, then compare cost per click and actual conversions. High engagement alone doesn't mean a channel is bringing in the right audience.
