Keitaro, that’s it — I no longer recommend working with her.

The tracker automatically sends telemetry data: your server’s IP, domains, machine_id, licensing signals, and even the names of your campaigns, offers, and streams.
You cannot block the sending of telemetry data — this is considered a violation of the terms (clause 4.j).
The data is stored for up to 2 years, and if a violation is suspected, for up to 3 years or longer.
‍♂️ The company reserves the right to disclose data to law enforcement and government agencies upon their request (clause 9.e).

Didn't knew keitaro did that. My best guess is that since many used keitaro as a basis for a cloaker, there must be a very legal issue that prompted then to do that.

But if think about that, in a time where people use claude opus do create working copies of adobe and many other softwares, to port games to pc and etc... they'll probably soon appear as a new business with a new name (well, that if they didn't done that already)

Well, that's unfortunate, but the law probably requires them to do so, since they are an official organization.

If this information is accurate, it raises valid privacy concerns. Has anyone checked the latest terms or confirmed how the telemetry works in practice?

Well I supposed that almost all do. Same as the tracking data on platforms were you advertise. And for the same reason almost every affiliate network have their own media buying team and like it if you sent a lot of tracking info. Nothing new about this. This happens for 10+ years.

Yeah I've seen similar complaints about the telemetry.
I switched a while back because I didn't like the idea of campaign names and server info goin out. there are alternatives that don't phone home as much. always worth checking the actual terms yourself before deciding dude
