been doing parasite seo for about 2 years now so i can give you some real perspective. its not dead at all but its definitely a different game compared to even a year ago. the biggest change ive noticed is the shelf life of rankings. back in 2024 i could throw up a solid article on certain platforms and it would hold page 1 for months without touching it. now im seeing rankings start to slip after a few weeks, sometimes even less depending on the niche and how competitive the keyword is.


the other thing is google has gotten way better at identifying parasite content. they rolled out a few updates specifically targeting this and some platforms started cracking down too by noindexing user posts or adding nofollow to everything. so the platform you choose matters way more than it used to. i lost a bunch of rankings overnight when one platform i was using changed their policy.
