If you don’t make your content original, you’ll receive an email informing you that monetization on your channel has been disabled. It could be tomorrow, or even sooner.
I have heard about it as well but as long as you put efforts and add value you will have that channel remain.I have a channel focused on posting Reels that is already monetized. I typically source videos from other countries, translate them, and upload them. I’ve heard about YouTube’s policy regarding "reused content,"
I’m unsure if I’ll be able to continue making money this way in the future.
Whatever you do, do not delete the videos you have already posted. you can go on break and hope for the best.I have a channel focused on posting Reels that is already monetized. I might run into trouble with youtube. I'm just taking the videos and translating them.i believe that the primary problem here is that transllating the videos will probably be insufficient for calling them original ones. typically, utube analyzes whether u add some new value to the content.if u are adding comments, editing it or providing some different interpretation of the video, then the channel becomes safe. in any case, the channel is already monetized nd it is time to focus on originality.
This policy seems to be targeting channels like mine. It looks like I'll have to create a new, official channel.Yeah that's the worst thing that can happen especially if you've been building a channel for YEARS off of other people's cuts and edits of their videos.
I only translated and reposted it. I didn't alter the content at all even the audio is the original. Am I about to get into trouble?Adding your own commentary, editing, context and original footage gives the channel a much stronger case for being considered original content.
If I delete all my channels now, will they be gone for good? Or what if I just hide them instead? If possible, you should delete them to avoid risks; instead, use image and audio editing tools to transform similar content into your own original creations.
I think the worst thing would be losing the channel. I’d have to start all over again.if channel relies mostly on other peoples videos with just translated versions there real risk under the reused content rules even if its already monetized assume the current setup will stay eligible long term adding real original value and making the content clearly transformative be a safer direction
So, I have to delete the old videos and refresh all the other content.Remove any reused footage, add original commentary, and ensure at least 30% new content to satisfy YouTube's policy. keep a log of source timestamps so you can quickly proof-edit if a claim pops up
