You can also try out Pinterest for driving traffic to your blog. Some pins, if structured properly can drive traffic for YEARS.

First off, I would use websites like Pinterest, relevant subreddits, and social media groups. Post useful information, provide answers, and also build an email list using SEO.

When your traffic is still low 1:1 exchange is hard. Maybe ask them if they have any options for smaller blogs.
