Hi friends,
I am running a search campaign, but my CPC is too high. I am losing money.
What is the best way to lower the CPC without losing traffic quality? Should I focus on Quality Score or change bidding strategy?

As far as i am new to Google Ads i would try first to see the quality score and keywords probably there could be tested bidding strategy it would be interesting to know more about how other people coped with it.

I would work on Quality Score first, especially ad experience and CTR. once those are improved, test your bidding strategy and cut keywords that bring clicks but no conversions. This usually gives better results than simply lowering bids.

i think first check which keywords are taking most of the money. maybe few keywords have very high CPC. i would check that before changing the whole bidding.

check the search terms first. sometimes few expensive keywords are eating most of the budget. i’d fix those before changing the whole bidding strategy.

Before changing the bidding strategy, look at CPC and conversions keyword by keyword. Pause or reduce spend on terms that eat budget without bringing leads or sales, and keep the ones that bring good results. Also make sure your ad copy matches the landing page.

honestly, I think that it is best to start with analyzing which search terms are consuming the entire budget without resulting in any conversion nd then analyzing the quality of the ad copy and the relevancy of the landing page before making any bid adjustment.

Try testing a different bidding strategy, but check your conversion tracking first. Otherwise, you wont know if the changes are actually helping.

I’d start by checking the search terms and improving ad relevance and landing page experience

A better Quality Score along with the right bidding strategy can help lower CPC while keeping traffic quality high

A simple review of keywords and their matches, set up Google Analytics, and generally take a serious approach to analyzing keywords and phrases.

I had a similar issue before, and the first thing id check is search terms and landing page relevance. Lowering bids alone can reduce traffic but wont always fix the real problem.

check the search terms report first and add negatives for irrelevant clicks, then tighten ad-to-keyword and landing-page relevance

Prune your broad keywords, tighten negative match lists and fix landing page ctr to boost quality score that the only real way to drop CPC without tanking lead quality.

Depends on your goal tbh. If you just need traffic, try manual CPC or max clicks with a CPC limit. If you want leads or sales, check conversion tracking and optimize for those instead of chasing cheap clicks.
