When you launch a completely new PPC campaign, how long do you normally leave it running before making optimization changes?
I tend to get impatient and start changing things too early.
Would you wait for a certain number of clicks, conversions, or days before making decisions?

I would say that it varies depending on the specifics of your campaign, but I would personally not consider making any changes until at least 2 weeks after, unless there is something seriously wrong that you have noticed.

Small tracking issues should be fixed right away, but performance changes can wait until you have more data.

depends on the budget. a campaign spending $20 a day and one spending $500 a day obviously wont need the same amount of time.

I tend to give a campaign a few days to gather enough data before making any major changes. If there is poor performance, I may do it faster.

I used to do the same lol. Now i try to let the campaign collect enough data first. A few clicks dont really tell you much, especially if your goal is conversions.

One or two conversions are not enough to judge the whole campaign, especially if results are inconsistent.

Set a spending limit for the test before launching, so you have a clear point to review performance.

If the clicks are coming in but sales are not, you should check whether the keywords match what the landing page offers.

set your target cpa before launching and use that as a guide. if you're spending a lot with no conversions, investigate early, otherwise give the campaign enough data before making big moves.

You can set a test budget before launching I think it can help you, otherwise, you might end up changing things too soon.

I try not to change bids and targeting at the same time. Otherwise, it becomes hard to tell which change helped.
