Is Tumblr still alive?

Does Tumblr still have useful traffic potential or am i about 10 years late to the party?
I dont think its too late, even in 2026 its quite useful but it has become more lowkey and community based. It can still give useful traffic, try with proper content and target proper audience

I wouldn’t write Tumblr off completely. The platform has changed a lot, but older posts can still get discovered and shared, which can give good content a longer life.

Tumblr Pinterest have some traffic but like good old days
now a days tiktok instagram or youtube shorts

Tumblr feels like one of those platforms people forget about and then suddenly find again I haven’t used it much myself, but I wouldn’t completely ignore it.
The audience may be smaller, but for the right topic it could still send some curious visitors.

I’d probably just use Tumblr on the side and see what happens I wouldn’t put too much time into it at first.
If it starts giving some results, then I’d spend more time on it.

I haven’t used Tumblr much myself I’m actually curious about how people use it now. Is it mainly for sharing images and creative stuff,
or do people still use it for other types of content too?

I’ve never really used Tumblr What do people usually go there for nowadays? I mostly hear about blogs and random posts, so I’m curious what people actually use it for now.
Is it mostly personal stuff or other types of content too?

I’m more curious about how much Tumblr users actually click on links these days. Getting views is one thing, but I wonder how many people still visit the links they see there.

Still alive, just nowhere near its peak.

There is traffic there in certain niches, especially fandom, art, memes and some weird micro communities. I wouldnt build a whole strategy around Tumblr, but as an extra traffic source platform it can still be useful.

I haven’t used Tumblr much myself, but I’m curious how easy it is for a new user to get started there. Does it take time to understand how the platform works?

yeah Tumblr is still alive, traffic is smaller now but you can still get some reach if your content fits the right niche.

Tumblr still has strong, highly loyal traffic for specific subcultures like art, fandoms, and writing, but it is completely dead for generic marketing or broad reach.

Not at all. Tumblr still has an active audience and can bring traffic, especially for niche communities, fandoms, art, gaming, and fashion.

I honestly keep forgetting Tumblr is still around Every time I hear about it, I’m like wait, people still use that? Maybe that’s actually why it’s interesting though.
Some platforms being less crowded can be a good thing.

Yes, Tumblr is still alive and can generate useful traffic, especially for niche communities, visual content, and long-tail discovery—but it’s not what it was 10 years ago.

Tumbler in 2026 is very different from the tumbler of 2014. The opportunity is still there, but It's niche rather than mainstream. Tumbler itself reports it has 60 millions of active users and there 30% of Gen-Z and 12 millions are US people.
It’s strongest community to art, fashions, gaming, music and others.
Tumbler is still a substantial web property.

I wonder if Tumblr works better when you post consistently or when you focus on fewer, more creative posts. I guess it also depends on what kind of content you're sharing.
