I am considering Telegram Ads to promote a website/app and want to understand how the platform works. how do you choose the right audience or channels, what kind of budget is resonable to start with, and what should I expect in terms of clicks and conversions? Also, what makes a Telegram ad perform well?

One broad audience can waste the test budget, so a few smaller channel tests may give a clearer picture.

Telegram Ads are mainly CPM based sponsored messages shown in public channels, so the best targeting is choosing channels whose topic and language closely match your app or site.

One thing that saved us budget: the min CPM is high, so we ran the same creative in 3 or 4 small channels first and watched cost per join, not CTR. Channel language match mattered more than topic

Start with a small budget and test a few channels related to your niche. Dont focus only on clicks, track signups or sales too, some channels bring views but no real customers.

You basically write up to 160 characters and add a TG link to promote. and then you specify the channels in which to place your ad. Users will see it while scrolling through posts from a channel they already trust (always 1000+ subscribers).
