Hi guys, I watched tons of videos about SEO and have also some experience. I wanted you to check my SEO knowledge if am correct or not.

1) Business Deep Dive/Competitor/ICP research
2) Semantic Keyword, Entities & content research in terms of topics and clusters for bulding topical authority
3) Internallinkings strategy and technical SEO like any indexing, crawling, speed issues
4) Writing high quality well research article
5) Building backlinks, digital pr, and social mentions

Yes, there are so many things in detail for doing each step but isn't it all about SEO? I genuinly want to learn and hear from other experts here.

your list is correct, but its also roughly what every SEO source teaches. knowing it does not separate u from the rest.
whats missing is the step before 1 and after 5.
before 1 >> look at whats actually ranking for the term. if page one is all product pages and u write a 4000 guide, you will not win because the format that is rewarded is a product page and not your guide.

after 5 > measurement using search console - find out what queries u get impressions for and what pages convert. without it the whole process is just guessing.

this is a loop, you publish, check GSC after a few weeks, update whats has potential and removing those that get nothing.

Thanks a lot for detailed response, so step 1 you meant is search intent right? totally agree with your thoughts, what would you do if you were starting out new travel documentation site that sell visa services?

Your basic framework is right. I’d add SERP/search intent before building the content because that tells you what type of page Google is actually rewarding. For a new visa site I’d also focus on building strong country/service pages first then use the guides to support them with internal links.

Thanks a lot, do you think should we also start investing in backlinks earlier or first start building content and other pages? or should do both simuntaneously?

content first, honestly. no point building links to thin pages, they'll just leak the value. get your core pages and a handful of solid posts live, make sure the site is crawlable, then start on links. early links work best when there's something worth ranking.

A hub-and-spoke content structure works best here. Build strong destination/service pages as money hubs, then publish supporting requirement guides that point internal links back to those hubs to build topical authority fast in a competitive YMYL space.

As a checklist it is fine. What is missing is any judgement about whether that work is realistic on the site you are doing it on. The same five steps on a brand new domain and on a site with years behind it give completely different outcomes, and most people skip that bit and just work down the list.

The other thing none of it tells you is when to stop. Knowing which pages to leave alone matters about as much as knowing what to do next.

Yeah that covers the main SEO work. The part people often miss is checking what actually improves after each change then adjusting from there

“Looks solid overall. Just make sure you’re testing things instead of only following theory.”

That's a solid list of fundamentals!

well actually, yes that is basically it. before creating anything using keywords, I will conduct my research to find out what page are ranking on the SERPs.

The checklist covers the basics well , but SEO usually stops being that linear once the site is live. For step four, just rewriting what already ranks often isn't enough. I'd put more focus on adding original data, testing things yourself , and bringing something new to the topic. After launch , Search Console becomes useful for finding queries that are starting to gain traction , refreshing pages that are losing traffic , and improving internal links between related topics, that's where a lot of the real SEO work starts

I couldn't agree more. I would have the essential pages working and technically optimized before adding links. Thin pages seldom benefit from links alone.

Your framework is solid. One thing I would add is that SEO is not really a fixed 1–5 process. SERP intent should come before content and after publishing you need to use GSC/analytics to see what is actually working and keep improving it.

Yes your overall framework is correct, and you’ve captured most of the major SEO pillars.

Yes, this is a good framework as such. But the fact is that CTR stats, conversions, and measurement testing are also crucial.

You see, SEO is not just going through all these steps once but also analyzing how well they work and improving them.

Your list has every thing that needs to be included but i would recommend adding SERP analysis as well – it is often easier to know what google favors than to make yet another keyword list.
