Prediction on RAM Prices?

Anyone else been watching RAM prices lately? Wondering where everyone thinks this is gonna go.

I bought 64GB DDR5 for around $300 back in mid 2024, and now it seems like the same amount is worth around 3-4x that.

With AI companies *cough* sam altman, elon, zuckerburg, dario amodei buying up so much memory and server hardware, do you guys think prices are gonna keep going up or eventually come back down?

Anyone here actually sold their RAM while prices are this high?

Also imagine buying RAM now and having it start going bad a couple years down the line good luck replacing it at these prices.

The ram prices are going to shoot up at least till 2030 should start to stabilise around 2036 I think as most data centre’s should be up and orders executed, worst case scenario it keeps getting more expensive year over year

Crazy isn’t it, would be interesting to see the affect it has on other hardware development over the years, GPU’s, CPU’s etc..
