I have a huge number of domains that require content restoration from the web archive. I’m trying to solve the problem cheaply — using 1 IP. How can I place these websites on different IP addresses in a very cheap and reliable way?

Wayback blocks heavy scraping from one IP pretty quick, so mass recovery that way is tough and slow.

For different IPs cheaply just spin up a few low cost VPS and spread the sites, or put Cloudflare in front so they look separate even if the backend is limited.

Trying to fake it all from a single IP usually doesn’t hold up.

ip diversity is the bit everyone obsesses over and it is probably the smallest of your footprints. Same restore job on every domain, same theme, same registrar, same outbound link pattern, all of that shows long before the ip does.

Cheap seo hosting that sells you a spread of ips is a footprint in itself as well, since more or less everyone sitting on those ranges is doing exactly what you are doing. A handful of ordinary cheap hosts under separate accounts holds up better than one provider selling diversity.

You can keep your domains separate and use low cost, high quality PBN hosting with @Diplomat over at priority prospect. He added a wayback tool restore last year. Check it out in his sales thread here. He's pretty knowledgeable for big domain holders, and has helped many members here.

not worry about getting a different ip for every domain as the main thing the bigger footprint usually comes from using the same setup across all the sites same design same links same hosting pattern and similar content even having lots of ips from one cheap seo host can look connected so keeping the setups more natural matters more

Network footprints go far beyond IP addresses. Search engines correlate PBNs through shared DNS servers, identical CMS templates, theme/plugin footprints, and C-class IP subnet clusters. Spread sites across standard mainstream cloud providers and randomize site builds to stay under the radar.

What options are available for cloud providers? Or do you mean regular hosting services?

however, standard VPS/cloud hosting can also do the trick perfectly well. there is no need to worry about the separate IPs for each domain as the distinguishing feature is that all the sites look exactly the same.

For mass restoration, the issue is keeping the sites technically separate and avoiding the same hosting setup, theme, content structure, and outbound link patterns across everything. A few normal hosting providers or VPS setups can be enough without trying to create a huge IP footprint.

Do we need to do all of this on different hosting accounts?

No, you don't have to. It depends on the service you use.

Specialized services that offer IP addresses let you use a single hosting account while providing multiple IP addresses.

Using multiple VPS instances would be expensive and a management nightmare, especially if you lack technical skills.

Affordable VPS hosts or even reseller hosting solutions can be utilized for distributing your domains through various IP addresses.

When dealing with many sites, you can consider the price of extra IP addresses or separate hosting of domains on various servers.
