I'm seeing fewer people talk about Quora for traffic these days, but some answers still get views for months or even years. Is it still worth investing time in Quora if the goal is targeted referral traffic?
Yes, Quora is absolutely worth it! Helpful answers can keep bringing the right visitors for months or even for years. Pick good questions, share value and enjoy steady targeted traffic over time.
In some niches, older answers can keep attracting views because people continue asking the same questions. Focus on a small number of high intent topics and measure clicks and conversions rather than simply chasing views.
For a small test, use a unique utm_content value on each answer's relevant link, alongside consistent source/medium/campaign tags. Then compare enquiries per hour spent writing over a few weeks; keep each answer useful without needing the click. GA4's tagging guide: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11242870
I believe that quora could still be used for referral traffic to a website especially when the response really helps answer a certain question while the traffic might be slow compared to other sources a good answer will continuously generate traffic for you is anyone still getting traffic from Quora?
