I've seen small accounts getting good traffic. Is follower count actually important on Pinterest?

Follower count is not important on Pinterest, as it does not operate as a social platform. If your keywords are optimized, fresh pins will drive traffic regardless of your follower count.

do not be very concerned about the followers. pinterest is capable of showing ur pin to users who are not even following u at all. this happens especially when the pin is related to their search or interrests. i would rather prefer an account that has few clicks instead of having many followers nd no clicks at all.

From a user perspective, I never checked someone's follower count intentionally. On Pinterest, only content matters, eye-grabbing graphics, and aesthetically beautiful content will get more clicks!

I do not believe that the number of followers is the primary criterion on Pinterest. Instead it is of particular importance to create value through useful content so that pins are regularly saved and clicked. As a consequence the number of followers should no longer be the central pillar of measurement and action; rather, one should focus on creating excellent pins and targeting the right topics

zero vanity metrics tbh it was just a visual search engine, with every pin battling against one another to be on top of the keywords.

Pinterest works more like a search engine than a normal social platform, so keyword targeting, pin quality and click-through matter more than follower count.
Seen plenty of small accounts pull decent traffic once a few pins start ranking.

i do not think one should be overly concerned about the number of followers one has on pinterest. there can be someone with a small profile but is receiving loads of traffic from his pins bcz they are relevant to searches. i think one should be more conccerned about click throughs nd saves rather than followers.

Not nearly as much as on Insta. A small account can still get big traffic if a pin ranks in search or get picked up in the recommendations

followers count doesn't matter just post good pins on regular basis and use proper keywords

I don't think that follower count should determine how big an impact your Pinterest account will be good pins and good keywords will bring more visibility to searchers even if you don't have hundreds of thousands of followers.
I'm really more interested in clickouts and saves rather than my follower count i have had some boards that got decent traffic just by searching.

Follower count is really not matter. the main thing is pin quality , proper title, description , if video post means you will get some good views. so day by day you will get increasing your views. And boards is very much important . And do this 80% your pins 20% others repin that should be related to your niche. Use tailwindapp for schedule your pins atleast 4 pins per day . if you generate pin in any AI just download and edit in canva and upload in pinterest it looks not created in AI.

Yes, of course, having followers helps, but that’s not all. In my opinion, having keywords and useful pins makes more sense in such a case.

I always try to finds the latest threads which have less number of replies and it were easy for me to make my presence felt there.

I don't think follower count is very important on Pinterest. Even accounts with fewer followers can get good traffic if their Pins are engaging and properly optimized with relevant keywords. Pinterest works more like a search engine, so focusing on quality Pins and consistency matters more.
