Meta Ads CPM suddenly doubled anyone else?

From my experience, CPM fluctuations are normal, but a sudden jump usually means competition or audience saturation has changed. When that happens, I test fresh creatives and new audience segments instead of immediately increasing budget. Small adjustments often work better than a complete reset.

Meta ads got much more expensive recently, so refreshing your images, videos is the best way to lower costs.

It can happen without changing the campaign settings. Audience size, season, and advertiser competition can affect CPM a lot.

I noticed this on some campaigns too. I think Meta traffic has become more expensive because more advertisers are fighting for the same users.

Same thing can happen when the audience becomes expensive or less responsive. I usually compare old vs new data and test fresh creatives before changing the whole campaign.

i think it could be due to higher competition or audience changes and i would check the creatives and targeting first and then compare the recent data with the past few weeks.

As per myn opinion you can try comparing your current CPM with the last few weeks if the increase is across all campaigns, it could be a market change.

I’ve had this happen before. The campaign looked pretty much the same, but the CPM just went up out of nowhere. I’d probably check audience overlap and placements first before touching too much.

Try refreshing your creatives first. Old ads usually get expensive over time. New angles and new visuals can help reduce CPM.

Look at the cost by country or region One expensive location can sometimes push the overall CPM much higher.

Of course. It may be caused by more competition, fatigue of the audience, or simply seasonality. I would suggest checking your targeting and placements first.

I am not seeing this from my side but you should check frequency too. if the same users see your ad again and again. then CPM can be increase.

Has anyone else noticed Meta ads CPM a lot recently? My campaigns have not changed much, but costs are almost double while performance is weaker. is this happening to others, or could I be missing something?
frequency is another factor to be considered because the same users keep on receiving the promotions repeatedly, leading to an increase in CPM despite identical campaign settings.

Yeah, CPM is higher for me tooo lately.

I have witnessed CPM to be quite volatile even when the same campaigns are run. So, I would look at the audience size, placements and frequency first in order to identify the factors which have led to the increase or decrease. I would also compare the current figures with figures of previous weeks before making any significant changes to the campaign.

could be market changes, but I’d compare placements, audience and creatives before changing everything.

See if the CPM increase is happening on both new and old campaigns, as that can show if it is a wider issue.

I would consider the audience size, ad fatigue, and competition first. CPM may increase when the ad auction becomes costlier.
