Yes, AI content can rank, and it can actually perform very well if it's done correctly. When I say "done correctly," I really mean doing proper keyword research first and taking the time to review and refine the article before publishing it. If I'm using AI, I'll usually start in Ahrefs' Keywords Explorer, enter a broad topic like roofing, landscaping, or HVAC, and filter for question-based keywords. From there, I'll look for questions with decent search volume and relatively low competition, then use AI to create an 800+ word SEO-friendly article around that topic. Like I said, though, you can't just copy and paste it; you have to guide the AI, fact-check it, and massage the content so it actually provides value.

AI generated content isn't the problem low-quality, generic content is.
Use AI as a drafting tool, then add original insights, real examples, proper internal linking, and keep updating your content over time. That's much more likely to build stable rankings than publishing AI articles without review.

Yeah, I get that. But even the best AI content still needs a human touch at the end refining the tone, adding real insights, and making it sound natural. Also, AI works best when it’s fed with strong, manually written content in the first place.

I do use AI to write content, but it depends for where/what I need it.
I either take what AI gave me, edit it a bit and use it.
If it's important, like a proper article, then I just use AI to get me going and then build on that and make an article that was pretty much 100% written by me. Just tell AI what article I want to write, give it some info, like title and chapters and a bit of info, and it gives me an article. Then I tear it up and slice it and dice it and add and remove from it, and I get my article.

AI can work, but I wouldn't just publish what it gives me. I check the facts, fix anything that needs work, and make sure the content is actually useful.

I have some AI articles on my site and yes they are ranking and bringing some traffic. My articles ranked slow and still growing in rank and traffic.
I think AI article with manual review is the way to get better output.
Give the AI, the topic you want to cover, ask for outline and research first, And then make it proceed to form the complete article.
The time you spend planning the article with AI is going to help you make the article better.

Very few seem to understand how to rank pages.
A lot of "If you edit the AI content".
You don't need to edit AI content. If you need to edit it, you just don't know how to build it.
AI is more than capable of writing incredibly good content that will satisfy your reader.
Just don't expect to go into chatgpt and type "Write an article on how to choose the best toaster" and expect to rank.

My personal flavor may make the article worse, objectively, but I don't care. It's my goddamn article goddamnit!!! (see, AI ain't gonna say that last bit. That's how you know I ain't AI.. goddamnit!!!)
I think this is an excellent choice, but the main thing you need to confirm is whether you can keep your content engaging at all times and come up with a solid plan to update it regularly.

Absolutely, and for a lot of things I wouldn't even use AI. It's important to know when to use it and when not to.
I'll never use AI to write guides. I do that myself, always.
But, AI *can* if you get the prompt and context right

I experienced that AI written content should be research based and optimized for user not for Google. Proper paragraph, Headings using LSI/NLP terms, which helps article to rank on Google.

Most of the members here have experienced that websites using AI content get deindexed in few months.

You should not post AI article as it is. Make some effort and edit it and then post it. Also , support it with backlinks.
