I don't upload the original long-form videos; I cut them into 60 second parts and upload them to TikTok and Instagram.

tiktok is easier for getting views and building a community because people like quick content these days.youtube shorts can work too but they dont always get the same level of engagement as tiktok videos

Given current user trends, growing a TikTok channel is much easier than growing a YouTube channel.

In my opinion, the reason many people spend more time creating content for TikTok than YouTube is that TikTok makes it easier to reach new viewers and provides faster feedback. Short-form videos are also generally easier to produce and don't require extensive editing time.

TikTok offers the opportunity to reach audiences quickly with the lowest time investment, while YouTube is better suited for building in-depth, long-term content.
 
We usually put more time into TikTok coz it’s quicker to test ideas and get reach, then we take the ones that work and turn them into proper yt vids.

Currently, YouTube Shorts also provides quick feedback similar to TikTok, so do you think using YouTube Shorts right away to test ideas and drive viewers to long-form videos is more optimal than using TikTok?.
 
Nowadays, everyone can see that tiktok is a much more widely used platform than ytb. It's easier to register, easier to use, and much easier to make money than ytb.
