TikTok videos instead of spending more time making YouTube videos?

Hi everyone
Why do you all spend so much time making TikTok videos instead of spending more time making YouTube videos?

Given current user trends, growing a TikTok channel is much easier than growing a YouTube channel.

You don't have to prioritize TikTok over YouTube. This is what I do instead - When I make my videos, because of the short attention span and high volume of data per second on TikTok, I make shorter snippets of the video and send to TikTok while the long form goes to YouTube.

Your approach is extremely smart and time-saving! This is truly the optimal strategy for leveraging the strengths of both platforms.

People are converting from YouTube to TikTok now, so creators are starting to create content on TikTok instead of YouTube. It's like the change with the younger generation; they use TikTok more frequently.

However, that mainly concerns viewer behavior, whereas from a content creator’s perspective, technical factors and the production process are the main reasons.

In my opinion, the reason many people spend more time creating content for TikTok than YouTube is that TikTok makes it easier to reach new viewers and provides faster feedback. Short-form videos are also generally easier to produce and don't require extensive editing time.

I give more production time to whichever platform keeps earning views after the first week, which is usually YouTube because of search, while TikTok gets quicker cuts since most videos there peak and die within a few days.

Indeed, YouTube has a significant advantage thanks to its ability to store content and recommend it through search over the long term.do you often apply a strategy of producing long-form videos for YouTube first, then cutting them into shorter clips to post on TikTok and YouTube Shorts?

TikTok offers the opportunity to reach audiences quickly with the lowest time investment, while YouTube is better suited for building in-depth, long-term content.

We usually put more time into TikTok coz it’s quicker to test ideas and get reach, then we take the ones that work and turn them into proper yt vids.

TikTok is quicker to produce and can provide fast feedback on topics and hooks YouTube usually takes more effort but can offer longer term search traffic and deeper audience engagement.

Currently, YouTube Shorts also provides quick feedback similar to TikTok, so do you think using YouTube Shorts right away to test ideas and drive viewers to long-form videos is more optimal than using TikTok?.

Nowadays, everyone can see that tiktok is a much more widely used platform than ytb. It's easier to register, easier to use, and much easier to make money than ytb.
