I dont think its too late, even in 2026 its quite useful but it has become more lowkey and community based. It can still give useful traffic, try with proper content and target proper audience
 
I wouldn’t write Tumblr off completely. The platform has changed a lot, but older posts can still get discovered and shared, which can give good content a longer life.
 
Tumblr Pinterest have some traffic but like good old days
now a days tiktok instagram or youtube shorts
 
Tumblr feels like one of those platforms people forget about and then suddenly find again I haven’t used it much myself, but I wouldn’t completely ignore it.
The audience may be smaller, but for the right topic it could still send some curious visitors.
 
I’d probably just use Tumblr on the side and see what happens I wouldn’t put too much time into it at first.
If it starts giving some results, then I’d spend more time on it.
 
I’ve also recently tried promoting my content on Tumblr, but the results weren’t very good. I don’t think it’s worth spending time on this platform.
 
I haven’t used Tumblr much myself I’m actually curious about how people use it now. Is it mainly for sharing images and creative stuff,

No, you’re not 10 years late. Tumblr still has meaningful traffic potential in 2026, but I’d approach it very differently from the way people used Tumblr a decade ago.
 
Still alive, just nowhere near its peak.

There is traffic there in certain niches, especially fandom, art, memes and some weird micro communities. I wouldnt build a whole strategy around Tumblr, but as an extra traffic source platform it can still be useful.
