• Please take a moment to look over the Suggestions & Feedback rules before making a post: READ RULES HERE

This is precisely why I won't be renewing my VIP subscription (and you can remove my Executive VIP condition too). - It's a waste of time.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to contribute to this discussion. I have read the thread carefully, taking on board the criticisms and detailed concerns raised by long-standing members.

Not everyone will agree with every point raised here. Some comments are fair, some need extra context, and some require us to check the data we hold before responding. There are several recurring themes that are clear enough to acknowledge now:

  • Community quality including Low-value and automated content
  • Scams and trust
  • Visibility of experienced contributors
  • Moderation clarity
  • Membership value
  • Communication specifically around major work such as Marketplace 2
On the positive side, we all care about BHW because of the community and how we engage with each other, from newbies to OG’s. The forum works when knowledgeable people share real experiences that they have actually experienced in real life, their thought processes through that journey. Challenging each other with open, respectful and thought-provoking discussions, not just having a yes-man AI response. We can all agree that protecting this community is important.

There are also areas where we need to look at the actual data before making claims publicly. That includes dispute outcomes, scam reports, repeat offenders, account abuse, moderation cases that have been raised, and the current status of Marketplace 2.

I do not want to give another vague reassurance where a more considered update is needed. Summarised findings will be shared in an article on our news and updates section in the next 30 days: https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/blackhat-world-news-updates.311/.

The continued areas of focus which we will update on in the next 7 days:

  1. Community quality, AI, bots and low-value content: We are digging into the data and reviewing what we have on obvious low-quality activity, including automated replies, repeated formulaic responses, account-farming patterns, low-value bumps, and sample-request spam. The aim is to reduce visible junk and improve the content posted, we run checks on content for AI https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/n...ai-detection-for-unwanted-ai-content.1801573/
  2. Scams, disputes and enforcement data: We are pulling recent internal numbers on disputes, scam-related bans, repeat offenders, and resolution times so that any subsequent follow-up is based on facts rather than assumptions. We continuously review this data internally, but acknowledge that we can communicate this better.
  3. Member feedback: We encourage all members to engage with our suggestions and feedback section. Clarity of message is important we outline here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/forum-suggestions-feedback-rules-faq.1345520/ how best to provide this feedback. So we can understand what your concerns are, what frustrates you, and what would benefit the community the most. As mentioned in my previous post above, we want to hear from you. https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/forum-suggestions-feedback.26/
  4. Moderation clarity: We continually review the concerns raised in the thread about the communication of moderation decisions and how those decisions are made. Although not every individual decision will be debated publicly, the principles should be clearer to all involved.
  5. Communication: We know that how we communicate about what we’re working on is important. We have a subforum dedicated to it: https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/blackhat-world-news-updates.311/, but acknowledge it could always be better. As I mentioned in my last post, we are not about to make another vague “coming soon” statement about MP2 other items we’re working on. My next update on this will appear in 7 days and will explain where things stand, what the next real milestone is, and a timeline to launch based on where we currently are with the project.
Constructive criticism is encouraged. We will not remove or shut down discussion simply because people disagree with us or say something uncomfortable. At the same time, we need to keep the thread useful, appropriate, factual where possible, and focused on improving the community. If you have an unrelated concern, please do post an additional thread in this forum. If you’d rather do it privately, you can message support, DM me, or any of the team directly. We’re here to help.

We will share a follow-up update once we have the first set of data and internal findings. That update will cover what we have reviewed, what action is already being taken, and what will take longer to fix.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed. BHW has lasted because members care enough to speak up. Whilst I’m often given to being defensive about our community, I know I need to listen and check the facts and my understanding of them. We have an amazing team on the back end, and they are ready to act where action is needed. But we do take the point that, no matter how excited we are about what we’re doing, we need to communicate more clearly as we go.

As you're aware it's the same with your Jr. Exec membership @GringoMonkey decided not to renew his Jr. VIP which is a requirement of holding an Exec tag. No conspiracy, nothing to do with what was posted here, just a requirement of holding Exec.
I have this feeling that, when I saw his comment, he had a white label, even without renewing his subscription, he wasn't upgraded. Weird, maybe a hallucination or gaslighting.

nonetheless, just another good member becoming inactive here too, you should know there is something very wrong happening when you see so many good members just leaving, not renewing or often showing their dissatisfaction in public

I'd just like to say thank you to the support team, because my subscription was set to be auto renewed, it was charged from my card,
thanks for the heads up, I will check it, my subscription is set to expire next week, always make sure to cancel the auto-renew
as you said, this post became a matter of mods liking their posts between themselves, self validation instead of addressing the +80 negative comments
pointless
curious to see this post in a few months, probably most members will be banned or just completely out of BHW

Not at all we're very clear about the Jr. VIP requirement for Exec's. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/what-is-jr-executive-vip.1042432/

All the posts are addressed in summary here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/t...-a-waste-of-time.1848583/page-5#post-21261999 feel free to comment about any that you feel aren't covered in that summary.

all of these will disappear in a not so-distant future because of the spiritual war that mankind is engaged in (we are being attacked from another dimension of the reality, listen to David Icke's clips on YT and you will understand a lot)... also because - apparently - the vibrations of the planet and of the people are being raised (by who, or what I don't know), and so - naturally - people are shifting their mentalities and priorities as such. So, things that were important even a decade ago (like, money, careers, mundane things and small chatter, etc.) are becoming useless / undesired because - inside of the new (increased) vibrational field that people will be living in after the spiritual war is over
Share some of the stuff you are using, man
Jokes aside, I hope you feel better soon

check first page, several comments were already deleted, lmao
we just know about them because of quotes

i'm one of those guys who will definitely be a gray name sooner than @LOQ Marketing Agency who is accumulating scam reports since yesterday, take it as a report to check his dirty activity. @VanlamAGC, another one to check.

I won't be creating massive reports again, last time I exposed a Reddit bot network here, there was 1 ban, the rest are all still here.

@monroemarketing for example, this guy is obviously an alt account of EvoCreatix (previously banned scammer) he has a scam report on his trade feedback (ignored as always), I reported him myself, he doesn't even care to appear to defend himself, just laughing as he knows nothing is never done. At any point, an exit scam and bye bye. He and his multiple accounts, there are like 10.

Then we say something and...you are a conspiracy theorist.

@Diamond Damien, I don't believe the point about the monetary value of accounts was addressed:
I took a break from this forum for months when i realized that BHW mods were openly allowing scammers with bought accounts (100 posts) to sell AWS accounts ($400/account) with crypto just because these scammers kept coming back which benefited BHW owner with jr vip or marketplace seller subscriptions
Adding my own experience related to this, I spoke with Support about a seller whose posting history was almost entirely repetitive Introduction posts, and who qualified for Jr. VIP through that history.

The discussion was specifically about post-count spam, current Jr. VIP qualification, and the Marketplace eligibility that comes with it. Support distinguished account upgrade eligibility from the separate sales-thread approval process, then said this type of user was "bypassing purchasing a Marketplace seller membership", paying $147 for Jr. VIP instead of $749 for Marketplace Seller.

That struck me as odd because the financial value of the account was explicitly raised by staff as part of a discussion about how this behavior is reviewed.

For staff reference, I'm referring to ticket #843581.

I also feels that BHW is dying fron last 2-3 years. Very few helpful posts.

I just checked out his sales thread. How is this person still active on here? This is very worrisome.
Just another day on BHW

Mods are reading every single comment on this thread, they just appear to like each other, lmao
Instead of taking action against this obvious scammer, they prefer to keep here trying to inflate their likes and validating their narratives between them

Do we really need to hit the report button if I'm publicly commenting, exposing, tagging and reporting a clear scam like this guy in a post heavily monitored by several mods? I guarantee you, at least 3-5 of them already read my comment and no action was taken. As usual.

That is indeed worrisome. Multiple scams are happening on a daily basis (just check the trade section) and the mods don't seem to do anything. Maybe they are waiting for the victims to open a dispute but even if they did, the chance of it being approved is low due to it happening off forum and the victims not engaging with the sellers on the forum.

Honestly, I think scam allegations should be taken very seriously so as to keep the forum safe and protect its reputation. There are many ways the mods can investigate but they don't seem to care.

Members like @Venusaur go all the way to investigate these scammers even before they start scamming and give the mods a heads up, but they end up being the ones getting a warning or temp banned instead of the actual scammers.

So, I can speak to the comments that were deleted.

The majority were from some farms that were spun up at the creation of this thread. Some of the accounts went off to do their spam thing, some of them obviously came here to try to stir the pot. Very often when we delete spam farms, all of their posts will go with it. Not always, but often and that's what happened here. I understand that without the full lot of data that it's very easy to think we're trying to silence people. For example, this was from another farm: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/whats-happening-with-forum-moderation-lately.1849843/

This is why we did our best to convey this is a spam account.

i'm one of those guys who will definitely be a gray name sooner than @LOQ Marketing Agency who is accumulating scam reports since yesterday, take it as a report to check his dirty activity.

As for this, the user is known to us and there's an active investigation.

In the near future, our intent is going to be explaining a little more on the hows and whys of how we work. But as Damien mentioned yesterday, we need some time to figure out how we can get you this information without giving away the secret sauce, so to speak.

Members like @Venusaur go all the way to investigate these scammers even before they start scamming and give the mods a heads up, but they end up being the ones getting a warning or temp banned instead of the actual scammers.

Please understand, there's only a tiny amount of data that's publically available. What we get from reports helps, a lot, in our investigations. Sometimes it saves us hours or even days of work. There is also A LOT of information that's not publically available.

Just looking at the reports that we get for spam farms. We get a lot of reports of an account being a spam account just because it shares a registration date and same username profile as a bunch of other accounts that registered on that date. Would you really be happy that your account was banned, even though the private info that the reporter can't see tells an entirely different story, because you had the audacity to accidently register on that date? Likely not.

As a seller, would you really want your account banned because a competitor managed to make a bunch of accounts that look legit and give a bunch of very legit looking reviews? Or claim scams? Would you really want us to ban first and ask questions later, possibly ruining your reputation? This is why we really try to take care and cover all the bases before doing something about it.

Just some food for thought.

Thanks @Stavro - this will be covered under

Reading the context of the ticket you'd submitted 22 days ago ref 843581 you'd stated "I won't speculate on the criteria for maintaining any particular upgrade status"
Support responded, explaining some of the criteria for maintaining that upgrade status, so it's clear as to what they are. One of these is payment of a yearly fee.

Just for clarity, my ticket was about the Marketplace review process and the Jr. VIP 'quality posts' criteria.

Support asked me, "In that scenario, do you see the user as being able to keep their JrVIP?" I replied, "I won't speculate on the criteria for maintaining any particular upgrade status. I'm just trying to reconcile that rule with what Marketplace approval actually entails in practice."

Support then introduced the monetary distinction between the $147 Jr. VIP route and the $749 Marketplace Seller route.

That said, I appreciate your response, and I look forward to the findings once the review is complete.
