Hello everyone! The 2025 big list got a great response, and a lot has changed since then: DaisySMS shut down, SMS-Activate closed its doors and a bunch of new panels showed up. So here's the 2026 update.
For this one I went through what people have been recommending over the last months here on BHW, on Reddit and on Quora, and cross-checked every service against its Trustpilot reviews. You'll find the Trustpilot score next to each one so you can judge for yourself, because some of the "big names" have pretty rough reviews right now.

Free Options (free and free + paid)
Most of the free sites have a paid side now, so for each one I put what you get for free and what you pay for.

Free Options (free and free + paid)
Most of the free sites have a paid side now, so for each one I put what you get for free and what you pay for.
- smspinverify.com – Free: US numbers that still work for less popular platforms. Paid: private numbers from ~$0.30, 3-day and 30-day rentals and "priority numbers" for the tougher services. Accepts crypto and Nigerian/South African cards. Trustpilot 4.3/5 (31 reviews), mostly short happy ones.
- smspool.net – Free: only a handful of EU countries (France, Italy, Latvia, Sweden, Estonia). Paid: one-time numbers and rentals in a ton of countries, a full API and the success rate shown for every service. Trustpilot 3.1/5 (400+ reviews): people love how simple and automated it is (crypto deposits with no fees); the complaints are about reused numbers and services marked "in stock" that aren't.
- onlinesim.io – Free: public numbers with a shared inbox. Paid: private activations and weekly/monthly rentals, which is where it shines. Trustpilot 2.1/5 (143): lots of reports of numbers already registered on Telegram or WhatsApp. If codes don't come through, ask their live chat to refresh the number pool.
- quackr.io – Free: numbers from many countries once you create an account, but they burn fast because everybody uses them. Paid: private rentals from ~$15/month. Trustpilot shows 4.0/5 (1,300+ reviews), but Trustpilot itself has a fake-reviews warning on that profile, so take the score with a grain of salt.
- mobilesms.io – Free: public numbers. Paid: real SIM numbers and longer rentals (around $40/month). Trustpilot 3.3/5 (67): Google and WhatsApp worked fine for some people, others went through a lot of numbers without a code, and crypto deposits can take a while to credit.
- anonymsms.com – Free: public numbers, no signup, rotating list; good for less common services. Paid: private number rental. Trustpilot 2.7/5 (43): support gets praise, but several people say their paid numbers never got the code.
- Helium Mobile – (App Store) Free: the "Zero" plan, a real US carrier number (not VoIP) in exchange for sharing your location data; people use it to activate Google Voice. Paid: add-ons and unlimited plans. US only, and signing up from abroad is hit or miss.
- tempsmss.com (for Telegram: be the first one on a fresh number; they post new ones on their Telegram channel). Trustpilot 4/5 with 3 reviews only.
- receive-smss.com (US, Canada, Netherlands, UK and Sweden; well-known platforms only). Trustpilot 2.7 with 7 reviews only
- temp-number.com (some people got Discord verified, others never saw a code) Trustpilot 2.8 with 17 reviews only.
- temporary-number.online (not many ads)
- smstome.com
- sms24.me
- receive-sms-online.info
- sms-online.co
Paid Options
- majorphones.com – A lot more than a US panel these days. One-time non-VoIP numbers in five countries (US, UK, Germany, France and India), where you pick the quality tier and, on US numbers, even the area code and carrier; prices start around $0.35 and you can reuse the same number within 10 minutes. For longer use there are US rentals of 1, 7 or 14 days (from about $2, with area code choice) and of 30 days or a full year (from about $3.40 a month or $28.50 a year), plus empty SIM cards in the US and UK that you activate for whatever service you need. Trustpilot 3.0/5 (51 reviews) and very split: most reviews are 5 stars saying the numbers always work, the prices beat the alternatives and the staff go the extra mile;
- smsrouter.app – A curious one: instead of being one more panel, it lets you buy from several providers (MajorPhones, SMSPool, SMSPVA, TextVerified, GetAText, FoxSims and kiwiSMS) from a single account and a single balance. The upside is that when one provider runs out of numbers, or a service just doesn't work with that provider's numbers, you buy from another one in a couple of clicks instead of opening a new account and topping up somewhere else. No Trustpilot page.
- 5sim.net – Still the cheapest place to start if you need volume: almost every country, prices from a couple of cents and a good API. The problem in 2026 is quality: Trustpilot 2.1/5 (200+ reviews), and the recent ones are mostly about numbers already banned or registered on Telegram, WhatsApp and Google, plus refunds that don't happen. Here on BHW and on Reddit people say the same thing: cheap, but slow at peak hours and inconsistent lately. Fine for low-value stuff and testing.
- textverified.com – US only. One-time numbers (around $0.50 per verification according to users) and rentals from 1 day to a year, where you can receive several codes on the same number and even reply. Opinions are mixed as usual: some call it reliable but expensive, others say quality dropped. Trustpilot 2.0/5 (88 reviews); recent complaints are about Google saying the number "has been used too many times" and card payments not going through.
- smspva.com – Cheap and with lots of countries, a classic for years. Same downside as always: many numbers are already burned, so you need patience, and their long-term rentals aren't great. Trustpilot 1.9/5, although nobody has reviewed them there since 2022.
- hero-sms.com – The one filling the SMS-Activate gap (they present themselves as its successor, same kind of infrastructure and API). One-time numbers in lots of countries, and if the SMS doesn't arrive in about 20 minutes the charge goes back to your balance; users like how quickly you can jump to a new number. Trustpilot 3.3/5 (62 reviews, all from the last 12 months): good and cheap for quick OTPs, with complaints about recycled numbers. Their team is active in threads, so keep that in mind when you read recommendations.
- juicysms.com – Non-VoIP numbers from the US (around $1.50), the UK and the Netherlands (around $0.50) and a couple more countries. Pricier than the big panels, but the quality gets praised and their live chat will add services that aren't on the list. Trustpilot 4.2/5 from 650+ reviews, the best rated on this list; the main complaint is rented numbers going offline when you try to renew them.
- grizzlysms.com – Modern panel, cheap, strong on US, EU and Indian numbers. Trustpilot is rough though: 2.0/5 (27 reviews), mostly recent 1-stars about recycled numbers and top-ups not credited. Test small.
- pvapins.com – US numbers as one-time or rental. Trustpilot 3.2/5 (182 reviews): easy to use and quick refunds when a code doesn't work, but also plenty of 1-stars about deposits that never showed up.
- non-voip.com – From $0.30, with good quality for Telegram, Google and even Google Voice, but stock is limited, you can't cancel a number and it's crypto only. Only a few (old) reviews on Trustpilot, 4.2/5 from 9.
- codesverify.com – Non-VoIP US numbers, a solid alternative to SMSPVA. No Trustpilot page yet.
- smscode.net – Private pool of SIM cards, decent for one-time numbers. Only one review on Trustpilot so far.
- sms-man.com – Huge catalog (190+ countries) and a mobile app. Mixed feedback about refunds and burned numbers. Trustpilot shows 4.4/5, but new reviews there have been paused since 2022, so that score is old.
- GetaText — https://www.trustpilot.com/review/getatext.com Trustpilot 3.6, 4 reviews only.
- Long-term numbers – peeksms.com rents full lines and lets you see the OTPs a line receives before you rent it; blacktel.com rents numbers for around €15/month; eSender gives you China and Hong Kong numbers through WeChat, with a 7-day trial.
- Real SIM / eSIM – If you need a number for months (banks, 2FA), Some users on Reddit keeps recommending carrier plans over panels: Tello (custom plans from ~$5/month), Ultra Mobile PayGo (~$18/month), Red Pocket (~$30/year on eBay) and US Mobile. For a no-KYC eSIM paid in crypto, Silent Link.
