Reels: quality or quantity?

Would you post one really good Reel every few days or several average ones every day? What has actually worked for you?
Depending on a platform, Meta or TikTok? Best middle-ground is high quality reel every single day, not more. This will bring most stable and organic results. Other important factor is your setup, if you use poor IPs or have poo antidetect setup - platforms will sniff it immediately.

Daily posting is essential, and what you call a good reel doenst have to be a well crafted reel, just something that has the same format that has worked for your before. create a few pillars of content, some content that can be easy to create while some that takes a few days.

Volume trumps quality every time. Just crank up five automated clips a day and let the algorithm see what hooks u IMO

I'd use volume to test hooks, then slow down once you see what actually holds retention. Posting 2-3 solid Reels daily beats forcing 8 weak ones. Watch like and shares and completion rate, not just views.

at least 2 per day. if it feels overwhelming then 1

I’d choose quality over quantity. A strong Reel every few days is usually better than posting several average ones daily, especially if the content keeps people watching and engaging.

I would suggest consistency based on a certain quality benchmark. A Reel does not necessarily have to be perfect, but it must be coherent and provide viewers with some motivation to stay tuned.

the more u post, the more information uh receive about ur audiences preferences, which is y i would try different approaches rather than limitting urself to only one high quality reel or several low quality ones.

I batch film and keep most edits simple, then only spend real editing time on the ones that show early traction, because heavy edits on every video burns you out and a clean simple cut usually does just as well.

I’d choose fewer strong Reels if the quality gap is obvious. One solid video gives you more to learn from—hook, retention, shares—while daily average content can just create more noise.

Quality is important, but consistency is equally so. In my opinion, it’s better to have good Reels than to post many of low quality.

I’d lean toward fewer, better Reels. Posting every day can help with consistency, but one genuinely useful or interesting Reel is more likely to get attention than several average ones.

Several posts can give more chances to hit but qualiity still matters alot on Instagram better to have a steady flow of decent Reels than spam the feed with average ones every day testing diferent ideas is good tho just keep the standard high enough that people want to watch til the end

if you can post one reel a day and the reel be good content is probably the best ratio. make content that people would wanna share, repost or save this seems to be the best engagement metric which signals IG that content is worth boosting to more non followers

I would surely focus on quality over quantity because a strong reel every few days can work better than posting average content every day and yes the most important consistency still matters though.

I'd choose quality because that what keeps the audience interested and makes them want to follow and watch more.

We're currently posting around 10.000 reels daily for some clients. On this scale it's hard for them to do only unique ones so we mix it, but I'd totally lean towards quality first and later scale.
