Why same video gets 100 views and next one gets 100k (some TT observations from my side).

Simple, every upload is tested again (content review for violations, audience selection, keywords/elements in the video). Same creative does not mean same audience or same geo.

- one upload can get mostly US traffic, another can get India or Mexico, just remember that every video always! goes through moderation.
- first audience batch matters alot for how far video goes
- same video can be understood differently because of text, audio or visual elements
- reposting still works because every upload gets another chance (just need to spoof video)
- if one version dies at 300 views, it does not mean account is dead
- dont judge the creative from 1 upload only, especially if it worked before

So, the bottom line is - if the video looks good, spoof it and push it out again. Eventually it will be shown to an audience that will go with it. Just don't be surprised that it gets pushed to Tier 3.

Sometimes one upload is just unlucky. Thats basically it.

lmk if you have any questions

That is good insight definitely. Consistency is the key. TikTok is not as hard on reposts like Instagram is

Interesting point. I’d be more curious about the first audience batch: how much does early retention actually influence distribution compared with the content itself?

One version can flop while another suddenly takes off for no obvious reason, we usually dont judge a video from just one upload, coz the first audience can change everything. Reposting can work, but do you think changing the hook or caption slightly helps more than just reposting the exact same thing?

The first audience batch matters but I wouldn't rely on reposting the same clip. Testing different hooks in the first few seconds gives you more useful data on why one version takes off.

Focus on a strong hook, retention, consistency, and testing different formats. Study what performs and double down on it.

Thank you so much for sharing your insights. It seems like you did a very close observation. It will help me from now on, as I used to think that if I stopped getting views, the video was dead.

yea i think its just if the first few hundred or 1k views engage with it more has the chance to be pushed more. just takes a few of the right people for the content to connect and they comment, share it, kind of thing.

the algorithm also tests every upload on a small batch first.

this can be a reason for a good video to flop. you can try spoofing and reposting for a better wave.

How many uploads are you comparing, and were they posted around the same time with similar hooks, because with only a handful of videos the gap could just be normal variance?

getting stuck on views can get advance with reposting of video content and include of trending hashtags to generate views from hashtag pages and adding of engage on other profiles upload with active button to gain replicate engagement on upload contents.

My account has a bunch of 1M+ videos, yet many of the daily posted videos have 300 views.
With time (and consistency), the algorithm tries them again, and they start getting views.

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. Sometimes the same video gets 200 views and the next upload blows up. TikTok can be so random.
