Has Instagram become harder for small creators to grow?

only in terms of the fact that the content quality needs to be better, and if the creator is lazy about it, it wont happen for them

It's been hard to get an audience on Instagram nowadays. I have started a new account and am struggling with growing a new account. I tried everything: making trending AI videos and short reels, but it's taking months to get followers.
 
no, you have to understand the algorithm. insta always push your videos to new audience. if your video has a good hook and good story then your video can get good results. and one thing about old accounts, they have their own audience.
 
I started a fresh travel and hidden gems account in October 2025 and it took about 5 months to hit 10K followers, mostly from hyper-local SEO keywords and high yield IG remixes, so it's slower than before but still doable.
 
Fresh accounts can still grow without ads, but yeah, the first few weeks can feel like posting into the void..
 
I believe if you mastered the strategy for how to market organically. Many people talk about mother child method. I noticed a lot of our clients / agency's build a lot of mother accounts while connecting links or websites.
 
Instagram is good app to grow creators pages with adding of good quality graphic reels and captions with trending hashtags to equip users to view and engage on upload reels with content without running of paid ads,there are methods to grow new instagram accounts including M/S and follow with unfollow to increase creator and other pages growth.
 
Recently i started a fresh account and it’s been a bit slow at first, But with regular posts and some patience I’m still seeing steady growth without paid promotion.
 
I can confirm that. My new account has practically vanished into thin air, with absolutely no growth.
